A new Windows 2k8 R2 image is now available on Amazon. I have two questions about this:
- It does not look like 32-bit (short) images are available, is this right?
- From a program standpoint, what benefits will I get on standard Windows images? 1 Windows Server 2008 R2 only supports 64-bit architecture.
1 Windows Server 2008 R2 only supports 64-bit architecture. See System requirements:
There is a small example in Amazon which is 64-bit, so why do you need to use bigger or higher and they do not allow you to launch R2 on micro installation , Even in spite of subtle examples, 64-bit may be possible, possibly due to performance reasons.
