A client asked me to convert my iPhone app to an Android app. I am reluctant to accept this work because I do not know the purpose C (iPhone apps not developed).
My questions are: 1. 1. Can you convert an iPhone app into an Android app without the knowledge of Objective-C?
2. If the answer to Question 1 is yes, then how should I go to my customer? I mean, I can not say clearly to send it to my iPhone app's source code, nor can I install it in the emulator (due to emulators' limitations and due to the fact that I do not have an iPhone) . So, should I ask him what functionality he wants or better solution (less tiresome for the customer)?
In a nutshell, please help with advice :).
I say yes.
As an iPhone Developer I would not be acceptable if there was an example of some source code actually on the basis of a job project to close a good Android app to the iPhone could help When an app needs to be synchronized with a web service, in that case it can be helpful to see the data model, how the app communicates with the service and so on. Data models and application structures are generally very similar in all languages, given that the app is well-designed. These things can probably save you some time even if you are not familiar with the language.
Rather than asking him to describe the app, I think that screenshots of each screen in the app and maybe a video about it will really help you understand the scope and design. If that app wants to work similarly on Android, then it is important.
