html - IE changes the title value, if there is a # present in the URL -

If there is a '#' value in the URL, then the Internet Explorer replaces the title text with the URL

  1. In Internet Explorer, go to www.store.apple.com/us, see the title, it says "Welcome to the Apple Store - Apple Store (U.S.) "
  2. Add '# 123' to the URL, then the new URL should now be,
  3. See the value in the title bar, it's' http: // www. .store.apple.com / us # 123 '

Is it the same Is Rica stripping with javascript and will it affect the search engine rank?

PS: apple.com is used only for the purpose of the example, this bug is good for any website.

Which version of IE are you using?

I tried with IE8 and changed the title of the window to show the URL, although the title shown in the tab is still specified in the title & lt; Title & gt; Page tag

What is displayed in IE will have no effect on search engine rankings.
