design - iPhone, what background colors should I use for a personal finance app? -

I know this question can be considered better on the stack UI, but I want some feedback from fellow app developers.

I have designed my app with a black opaque navigation bar and a black background. I have produced some radial gradient backgrounds in my color program. I have three different images (one second set for retina)

So my app looks very dark.

I did not think that this is a very dark black. there is a problem.

However, a colleague thinks that this is a very bad idea, people will think that their money will disappear in black holes.

I want to use different colors as a background to the colors I have a scene that I add to use and add mode to edit them. Apart from this, it makes each screen more specific.

I am also shocked to see if you can buy a set of backgrounds, but I have seen only the wallpaper sites for the use of users.

I want to calm my app, so why have I gone for a dark plan but I am a little worried that it will affect sales.

I need some feedback, please do not really want to post any of my screens because I have not released my app / idea.

I believe that a dark plan is probably not the best, but have you seen other apps? Mint uses a good contrast of black headers with areas of white (or light) content, if you drill in the transaction view, then they also have a good texture background, in an app that is very light green I am using that which I am working on which can be really well with black nav bars and with a dark green-ish / black font, it is at least one good way Shtbhumi color may bounce against the dark borders.

[UIColor colorWithRed: 196 / 255.0 green: 218 / 255.0 blue: 173 / 255.0 alpha: 1.0]

However, I would say what type of UI are you working with It is difficult to recommend color scheme without looking at (how many elements and how, etc.).

Good luck ...
