PNG is recommended, fast format for iOS, however PNG has several internal sub-formats alpha channels, byte sequence , Color depth etc.

I read but the images in Q / A bundles are about now I am generating many thumbnails for IOS from server . I can not use Apple's framework on the server though the sub optimal format is also quite. I want to hear opinions.

Given that the smallest possible file could be a better option, and + or for that There are good tools.
