How do I split a git repository(by branch) -

I started with a code that split into two separate programs in each separate branch.

They share very similarities but I want to divide them into 2 reps so that I can work on both of them in an easy fashion at the same time.

This is the history of a very simple linear person, which, except for a beginning, gets rid of unchanged changes (and in the form of a Guitnor and a Macfill flag). Split up and some unnecessary stashes.
What is the best way to accomplish this? The easiest way is to clone the repository, and possibly remove the unnecessary branch in the cloned repository.
