java - Is it possible, and if so how do you add external location data to LocationManager on Android? -
I have a WiFi device that outputs GPS location data on UDP multicast, I want to create a background service for Android Which will receive data from this place and include it in the Location Manager so that other applications can use its data.
I think it is possible to use a test provider, however for this, the application has to include android.permission.ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION permission to use location data. Will be required. It seems that this location data is not very fun.
I also saw some location spoofing apps on the Android Market that try to believe me that this is possible. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
There is no way to do this, using your own rolling deficiency firmware or fake provider approach Do what you outline.
I also saw some location spoofing apps on the Android Market, which I have to believe is possible.
All simulated provider approaches use the approach.
