I'm new to Ruby on the Railways and wanted to create a crawler that snaps data and incorporates it into the database. I am currently using Heroes so that I can not use the database directly and the best way to integrate a crawler script in the ROR framework is that what will happen. I'm using an hour or daily cron to run the script.
If you are using Rail on Heroku, you can use only one ORM adapter like Datamapper or Active Recorder This gives you access to your database but basically via a layer. If you need to send a raw SQL to the database but it is usually not recommended because the ORM has provided you much more.
In a table you will basically just model in general and related areas such as Rail applications.
RAIL G. PODMATA MetaTit: String Page_title: string RAKE DB: MIGRATE # IT MUCH MUCH HACOCK RAKE DB: Migrate " Then your In the crawler script, you can create a record using your model ...
Page.create (: title => crawler [: title],: meta_title = & gt; crawler [ : MetaTitle]) Generally whenever you can (https://github.com/javan/whenever) to manage your cronjobs, Hirok I do not believe that this Cai Sector works because I have not set before Hrok.
