We are facing a strange problem and need some brain here. I will try to provide as much detail as possible.
One of our customers, assume that "client A" has reported several times that the favicon icon shown in their browser (both IE & amp; FF) is not correct. They say that the icons they see are one of our other clients "Client B".
The problem is that this is an intermittent issue and we are not able to repeat it at our end. We tried on many machines spread across different geographical locations of India, US, UK, Germany, etc.
Our client is from "Client A" UK and the icons they see are our clients "Client B", which is US & amp; Germany. He has never seen any other client's icon, its own or client b.
There are multiple servers for our load balancing and there are many Akamai servers to provide stable content and all servers are in the US (although in the near future we will have a local server in the UK & Amp; Germany) .
We have also checked the server logs to see that we can find strange things, but nothing.
I think this is an issue with caching, but how and where?
How are you sending output to send from your web server to client A vs. Customer? Possibly there is only one web server for both of you but you are not specifying any details. Can you be more specific about establishing a web server?
Do you have a single web server, and what are you specifying favicons via HTML?
