I wrote a similar question before but I could not find any answer, so I thought about asking again in a simple way. was doing.
I have a sloane - I replicate the database in a Windows environment (the master has Windows XP and Slave windows 7, both PostGnessSQ 8.2). I have registered a service using slon -regservice in both the owner and the slave and everything works fine.
I have the problem that the service writes logs to the event viewer every time, so I was expecting 5 or 6 new logs every second, I just hoped that this event only writes errors in the event viewer, but every Timings logs and the event viewer fills in with them in my master server. Since there is a range of space in Event Viewer in Windows XP, logs access to all applications that the event viewer uses its limits and event viewer crash.
Is there a way to configure slurry service Avoid writing logs to event viewers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am struggling with this problem for 2 weeks and I read every tutorial on the web and all of them have the same instructions, but none of them The event does not mention the log in the viewer. Am I missing something?
Thank you!
You probably should raise bugs in the bug database or email their mailing list because it is open source You can recreate it and remove unwanted event logging. In addition, you do not need to register to receive event logs, but you probably need errors.
Do you see using Windows XP, which is now weak? It's 10 years old! There are more flexible event logs in the modern version of Windows.
Finally, you can reconfigure the event log settings to avoid the problem. You can make logs too large (512KB default is too small) and there are other settings available that appear open, open Event Viewer, right-click on one of the event logs and select Properties.
