version control - Mercurial: qrefresh to edit several commit messages? -

I have come to these questions: And although, I am still confused about my specific problem

I cloned a repository and after that, make about 10 commets. Before pushing, I realized that I had included a certain phrase in each command. So basically I have to edit the commit commitments for the last 10 commitments to determine the queuerege mentioned, but in a deceptive way I am concerned about losing data. I'm still a very basic user, so it will be helpful if someone can help me with detailed instructions so I should not lose anything

Besides, I am using Server Mercurial 1.0. 1 is running (I know it's old!)

Edit:

I have come across the whole of the answer as one of the other questions needed It works, but I also think that the Mighty But what that really needs to be.

The qrefresh command is only useful if you are using Mercurial Queues You say that you are still an HG newbie, so I think that you are not. But yes, if you are using queue, the message of the existing patch can be edited with the following command:

hg qrefresh -e "new comment message"

Again, Mercure Cues (or MQ) is an advanced topic and I want to read you about it

MQ is powerful, but unless you are comfortable with them, HistEdit is a good way to go, as Maize has mentioned.
