The current functionality is that we write the text file as follows.
Var outfile: textfile; Start the assignment file (outfile, abuse); Rewrite (outfile); Writeln (outfile, 'sample'); End; We have a logic to align the contents in a text file and then load the text file in a report viewer, where users will be able to print as a print file or printout.
The requirement is that we have 1D and 2D bar code images that need to be printed as part of this text file. Is there a way to paste bar code images into a text file? I tried to change the image in the stream and then had to save the stream again in the text file but it gives me the junk data (not the image). Is there any other option?
A method involves encoding "Icon" in Atif / X ASCII more or less humans -File files in readable way
is the old (xbm) that you should do (which are barcode monochrome). The XBM file must be in C #include s. All of them require special readers, though. If the "text" file itself has to be scannable, you have to find a way to do this, or you are no longer speaking a text file.
Hmmm Another possibility that kills me is that you can try posting commands to print a barcode on your printer in your text file. However you will have to tamper your printer to accept and execute it from a supposed "text" file. How to hack your printer? : -)
